We invite you to come to Chiba in Japan to participate in the 5th Workshop on Stimulated Brillouin Scattering (SBS) & Phase Conjugation (PC).
The 5th Workshop on Stimulated Brillouin Scattering (SBS) & Phase Conjugation (PC) will be scheduled in Augest 25-27, 2010.
This meeting aims to present and learn about up-to-date technical developments and new technologies related in the field of SBS, PC, photo-refraction and their satellite topics. In particular, the meeting also welcomes beam shaping such as singular optics and coherent beam combining to be presented.
Four workshops were held in Daejon (Republic of Korea), Potsdam (Germany), Harbin (China), and Prague (Czech Republic), so far.
This meeting will also provide scientific and professional networking as well as scientific inspiration discuss to the attendee.
Prof. Takashige Omatsu from the Graduate School of Advanced Integration Science, Chiba University in Japan is a committee-in-chief of the meeting. A few co-committee members including Prof. Masahiro Nakatsuka from the Institute of Laser Engineering, Osaka University also support the meeting.
In addition, Chiba has a good public transport to many historical and cultural places such as Asakusa, Kamakura, Tateyama, and Tokyo Disney-land, and it provides a perfect environment for you to learn about Japanese history and culture.In particular, Tokyo bay night cruise (http://tabihatsu.jp/program/73473.html) will be scheduled as an excursion.
The session will be in Reception Hall (3 floor) , Keyaki-Kaikan building in Chiba University.The meeting is supported by the Japan Laser Society and Light-wave synthesis research group in Optical Society of Japan. Registration fee for oversea attendees will be free.
